Sporcle App Reviews

Nice concept and all and I love sporcle but I just paid for an app that only gives you a very small fraction of the quizzes available on sporcle. There should at least be an option to downlod quizzes you want from the website. As it is this app sucks because there are only a few quizzes I like and way too much trivia about the united states. I mean I know its developed mainly for and by us citezens but there are still way too many us related quizzes. For free this would be ok, but as is this sucks. Two stars because except for the selection of quizzes its an ok app...

the app itself is great, and the quizzes it comes with are on a nice variety of subjects, but the new quizzes one can download every day are a letdown ... theyre all about US sports and pop culture, it seems, and not goof if youre not into guessing "opening day lineups" of various sports teams, it seems. If there were more history/language/... updates, or at least quizzes solvable by people outside the US, Id definitely be happier with the app.

I really miss being able to access my own history. I used to be able to see my scores for every attempt at a game. Now I have no idea when I finally managed to get 100% on Countries of the World and how many times Ive tried to repeat that feat. Also I miss being able to see how many attempts Ive made at a game and my highest percentage on the game lists. Who cares how many times other people have attempted the game. I want to know how many times Ive attempted it or if Ive even played it! I want my old version back please.

Its fun with plenty of great quizzes but the only problem is that there needs to be more quizzes in each category because if Im paying two bucks I want plenty if awesome trivia. Keep up the good work btw this app is just like the website so if youre nervous about buying dont be its awesome.

I love sporcle online, but this is not the best implementation. Any quizzes that would be 2 or 3 columns on a computer are one long column on the iPad. It makes doing those quizzes impossible. For example, a quiz that asks for a 5 letter word (clue given) then add a letter to that answer to get a 6 letter word (clue given) will not show up side by side. It makes them much more difficult if not impossible.

Worked well for so long, but inability to do some quizzes because of long columns makes it difficult. Also, recently been crashing at very high rates, havent been able to load new games for 3 days because of crashing.

Very many of your puzzles are USA based (e.g. presidents, US cities, ER, Disney, US states, etc.). 75% of the world is OUTSIDE the USA. Europe is Chinas major trading partner, not the USA. Many Americans are largely oblivious of the world outside the USA and if you created a few more puzzles that included other countries then Americans might be tempted to aleviate some of their ignorance of the world outside their borders. For instance: What country had an attempted coup detat in mid-April 2012? What is a coup detat? On what continent is Guinea-Bissau?

If you love trivia, this app is for you. O waste so much time on it :p

I purchased the App because I wanted to be able to play the games my and I created. Im only able to play published games in the app. Please include a way to search user created quizzes for download. Thanks?

I really like the app a lot - however, it seems that a lot of the quizzes that are being published are sports related or are based on American trivia (eg: a quiz on American cities). Not everyone enjoys those genres, and considering the number of categories they could publish, its a bit one sided. Also, I think that the online site has bonus questions and other features that the app doesnt. Like others have said, the layout on the iPhone is, at times, a hindrance. However, I would recommend this app overall :) Its really addictive.

I love the sporcle quizzes, but I hate the update. The font is too small to read easily and I cant enlarge it on my iPad. If it doesnt change , I probably will get rid of it

I have had this app for quite awhile now, and Im greatly disappointed by the new update. On top of paying the initial base price, it is now required that you buy additional coins to do quizzes. I have always thought of sporcle as more of a trivia game than anything, so I was initially confused as to the point of the coins, seeing as how you usually earn points or coins for doing well in games and not the other way around. I will not to continue using this app once I run out of coins.

This app has never worked on my iPhone. When I click on the app, a "title" opening page opens, with the little logo of Sporcle, and then without getting to another page or a menu, the app shuts down. I have the most recent version of iTunes on my macbook and the last iOS update on my iPhone 5 ; I have tried to delete the app and to reinstall it ; I have tried to turn off my phone and turn it back on - all things that are recommended when an app does not work. I have contacted Sporcle Inc to fix the problem. They have updated the app and launched a new version of it, but it still would not work on my iPhone (even if I tried, again, all the steps of deleting it and reinstalling it, turning the phone off and on, etc.) When I wrote back saying that even with the new update, the app would not work, they never answered, and I never got reimbursed. Therefore, I would strongly suggest not to buy this app.

I love sporcle! I can now name all the countries in the world! I wish that tokens could be used for more game packs and I think the help thing is a great new addition!

Was hoping for the geography section to have maps included other than just a list

The site is amazing, this app looks like a program from 1995. Include maps, interactivity, heck..charge a buck or two as long as you make it close to what the great website has.
